I really want to like this game. I enjoyed the atmosphere and concept of the first one, but the gameplay still doesn’t quite work for me.
During my first playthrough, I had trouble understanding what was happening. I appreciate the added text explanations, they’re an improvement over the first game, but they still weren’t enough to help me understand the mechanics. I lost during a hunt very quickly and wasn’t sure what I had done wrong.
My second attempt went similarly. I tried to identify the ghost, set traps, and use myself as bait, but I still couldn’t tell whether I had won or lost. I received the same NSFW cutscene that played after my first loss, so the outcome was unclear.
The NSFW cutscene is quite boring and just a regular sex, I didn't feel the lost aspect of it (for example, check the Sin Spire, there when you lose you get a more dominant cutscene from the ghost, while when you win you dominate the ghost).
Overall, the game needs significant improvements to its UX (user experience), especially when it comes to explaining objectives and providing feedback. The NSFW scenes could also use more polish, for me they don't look fun at all.
I think it's a lot of work to make this kind of game, and I'm sure you can improve it in the future, but it's a second part and it still has similar issues as the first one (though some improvements were made). And when I see that you spend time on customization of the companion or even ghost customization instead of the gameplay or sex scenes, it just makes me sad :(
Thank you very much for your feedback. You can think of this as just the beginning. From here, we want to keep improving and take our games much further.
We know we have our shortcomings. Sometimes it’s hard for us to realize what needs to be added or improved. Since the team is constantly playing the game and discussing it over and over, we can develop a bit of tunnel vision. That’s why feedback from players like you is so valuable it helps us see the things we’ve missed and shows us where we need to improve.
Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts. We’ve already started working on the issues you mentioned, and your feedback will help us make the game better.
